Policies
Please make sure you have read the latest booking policy before you make a booking:
Good to know:
You must have your Confetti Student ID Card to collect any booking, or to use a booked workstation/room in your own time.
Equipment must be collected from the relevant tech store, except by prior arrangement.
Equipment is to be returned to the Tech Store it was collected from no later than the end time specified in the booking.
Uncollected bookings are cancelled automatically 30 minutes after the booking start time, to ensure that everyone has fair access to equipment.
We will ask you to leave and come back later if you attempt to collect your booking more than 5 minutes before its start time, so that we have time to check and maintain equipment between bookings.
If you have access to the "Booking Override" feature (generally technical staff), please do not abuse it, as this will result in you losing access to it. An example would be overriding a booking for 9am at 8:50am, when 9am is our busiest period.
Equipment Booking Periods (Students)
Minimum resource booking period is 1hr.
Maximum resource booking period is 3hrs.
Video Equipment is bookable up to a maximum of 48hrs.
Content Creation equipment can be booked for up to 72hrs.
Bookings can only be made four weeks in advance of their start date.
Bookings can be extended beyond these limits by request only, back-to-back bookings will be cancelled.
Availabilty and Restrictions
There are currently no availability updates.
Late Returns & Damaged Equipment
Repeated late return of equipment will result in a booking ban.
You can also be banned if:
- Equipment is lost or damaged as a result of your carelessness or mistreatment
- You are found to be abusing the system or rules.
- You have breached the student code of conduct.
